Rob KellyCelebrating Philanthropy in 2012

Hello from the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country!  As the new President of the Community Foundation, I am excited about taking part in the many events and happenings for 2012, and I hope you will join me in these efforts!

The new year began with our Snow Ball Black-Tie Gala on January 28th.  Over 300 guests enjoyed the event and helped to commence the Community Foundation’s 30th year of philanthropy in the Texas Hill Country.  At Snow Ball, former President Roy Thompson announced the installation of a new Executive Director for the Foundation, Mr. Paul Urban.  Paul officially begins his new role March 1st

Business Manager, Amy Rector, is hard at work updating the board with policy and national standards changes, and maintaining the flow of the office.  Jayne Zirkel, PR and Event Coordinator, is planning Emerge 2012, the Technology Symposium on April 3rd and Nonprofit Summit in September, as well as a host of other programs that will strengthen and promote the Community Foundation.

Our website is ever-changing with the latest information about all the happenings!  Our facebook page keeps us connected with businesses and individuals on a more personal level.  “Like” us on facebook to stay current with everything that is happening.

The Board of Directors is fully engaged  and working together to plan long-term to help the Community Foundation grow and thrive.  We are striving every day to build both donor relationships and special events participation.

As always, scholarships and grants are a crucial part of our commitment to the four-county region that we serve.  Distributing funds and awarding scholarships are top priorities on the Community Foundation agenda.

We remain focused on opportunities and events that positively impact our communities, and we are thrilled by all of the possibilities that only the hill country of Texas can offer!  Join us today as we celebrate philanthropy and work together to better our beautiful hill country!
