Mark your calendar today for the event of the season!  Snow Ball is coming on Saturday, January 28th, 2012.  This black tie gala, hosted by the Community Foundation is the toast of the town and you won't want to miss it!  Ten area nonprofit agencies will receive equal shares of the proceeds from the event, and these same organziations will be available at Snow Ball to show patrons how they are positively impacting the communities nearby.  Community Foundation Board member and owner of Lemon Tree Cleaners, Denny Foster, has graciously offered to contribute $20 to Snow Ball 2012 for every tuxedo rental.  Just mention Snow Ball when making your reservation!

Underwritten by local organizations, individuals and businesses, Snow Ball 2012 looks to be the most exciting night of dinner and dancing yet!  The Board of Directors is especially thankful to the following for their outstanding level of sponsorship of the 2012 Snow Ball Gala:

The Community Foundation staff are hard at work planning and preparing for this larger-than-life 30th Anniversary celebration.  The evening will begin with hors d’ oeuvres, cocktails, a silent auction, and music, while 400 guests mingle with representatives of the nonprofit agencies to learn more about the ever-changing charitable needs within our community and the accomplishments of these agencies.  The perfect complement to the early evening activities will be music offered by the Hill Country Youth Orchestra Chamber Ensemble.

Dinner and a short program, including a live auction and recognition of our community sponsors, will follow. The evening will move into "high gear" as the band tunes their instruments and guests prepare to dance the night away.  We are thrilled that our entertainment for the evening is "The Wonders" band from Austin, Texas.  Check out this link to learn more about them:  http://thewondersband.com/  They are sure to keep things lively!!
