SNOW BALL – January
26, 2008 
Snow Ball is a black tie event coordinated by a task force of community volunteers as well as the trustees and staff of the Community Foundation. The Ball will be held in the Hangar hotel and Conference Center at the Gillespie County Airport in Fredericksburg. The evening will begin with hors d’ oeuvres, cocktails, a silent auction and music while 500 guests mingle with representatives of the nonprofit agencies to learn more of the ever changing charitable needs within our community and the many accomplishments these agencies are achieving.
Dinner and a short program including a live auction and recognition of our community sponsors will follow. The evening will wind down with an opportunity to again celebrate the needs and accomplishments of our nonprofit agencies within our community as the band tune their instruments and guests prepare to dance the night away to the sounds of Duck Soup.
While the goal of Snow Ball is to increase the visibility of nonprofit agencies and their many roles, it is also a goal that all monies received by our fund raising efforts are to be split equally among the twenty-five agencies. In order to achieve these goals we are inviting you to become a community sponsor, join the Snow Ball 2008 and together let us celebrate philanthropy.
Snow Ball and Ice Breaker invitations will be sent after Christmas. The Ice Breaker, the Snow Ball’s companion event, is an informal reception scheduled Thursday, January 24 at Riverhill County Club in Kerrville. General admission Snow Ball tickets are $125 and Ice Breaker tickets are $50.
