Opening a fund with The Community Foundation is a simple and flexible way to accomplish your charitable giving goals. Funds created allow the maximum tax deduction and give you the power to make a difference today and forever through a lasting legacy in our Texas Hill Country. The Community Foundation wants to help you attain your philanthropic goals. We offer a variety of fund options from which to choose.
You can establish a fund for use now, a fund listed in your will, a fund in the name of a loved one either past or present, or a fund representing your own charity of choice. The money going into starting your fund can come from cash, securities, real estate, trusts, stocks, retirement assets, as well as other sources.
After a fund is established with The Community Foundation, keep the following in mind:
- You may add to the fund at anytime.
- Friends and family can make tax deductible contributions to the fund.
- With a Donor Advised Fund, you can make grant disbursement recommendations to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
- You can track your fund activity with our FundWeb tool for TCF donors.
There is no limit to the help you can give with the fund you create. Contact us at The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country at (830) 896-8811 for more information about establishing a charitable fund.
