The Big Give S.A. is a 24-hour day of giving that takes place from midnight to midnight one day each year. With hundreds of local nonprofits represented over a dozen counties, there is certainly a cause to fit your passion.
The purpose of this community-wide giving challenge is to increase public awareness of the impact local nonprofits make in addressing our community’s social challenges, bring nonprofits and donors together, expand the idea of online giving, connect people to the causes that move them the most and, of course, make giving FUN. By turning giving into a shared region-wide experience, we can significantly impact the future of South Central Texas and make a huge collective difference. The first year’s event (2014) raised over $2,000,000 for 467 participating agencies! The second year's event (2015) went even bigger and raised $4,307,291.86 for all the participating agencies! The following is an account of the dollars raised by county:
- Kerr County: $53,585
- Gillespie County: $21,755
- Bandera County: $$29,211
The Big Give S.A. is part of the national day of giving called Give Local America. Communities across the country are coming together (usually on a specified date each May) to make an even bigger impact! Don't miss out on the fun and excitement that The Big Give S.A. will generate for the Hill Country nonprofit community!
