The Window of Opportunity Scholarship was established to support current or former high school graduates from Gillespie County who have either participated in the Fredericksburg Academic Boosters Mentoring Program, or who have earned (or are pursuing) a GED in Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, or Kerr counties. This scholarship is designed to recognize and support students who may have faced academic challenges but are committed to pursuing their educational goals.

Eligibility
Applicants must be current graduating students or past graduates of a high school in Gillespie County, or individuals who have earned or are currently pursuing a GED in Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, or Kerr counties. Scholarship recipients may reapply for up to three consecutive years, provided they maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Returning recipients will be given equal consideration alongside new applicants.
Selection Criteria
Recipients are selected based on eligibility criteria and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be accepted for full-time enrollment at an accredited college, university, or trade school before the scholarship is awarded. The scholarship award will be forfeited if not accepted by December 31st of the award year.
