Ann Pierce Memorial Scholarship

The Ann Pierce Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Ann Pierce’s legacy as a third generation active member of the Sabinal Civic Club. Ann Pierce lived most of her life abroad but eventually moved with her family to Sabinal, Texas. She bequeathed a part of her estate to the Sabinal Civic Club because she believed in the power of its impact on the community.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a graduating Sabinal high school student from Sabinal ISD, or a graduating homeschooled student in the Sabinal area receiving education through a state approved curriculum. Applicants must have participated in community service throughout high school and must plan on continuing to participate in community service during college. Recipients can reapply for one subsequent year with proof of financial need and submittal of their freshman transcript.

Selection Criteria

Selection of recipient is based on financial need, academic achievement, and level of community service. A recipient must be accepted full-time in an accredited college, university or trade school at time of award decision. An individual cannot be awarded the Ann Pierce Memorial Scholarship and the Sabinal Civic Club Scholarship in the same year. The scholarship award is null and void if not accepted within one year of the award date.
