Captain Mark Tyler Voss Memorial Scholarship

The Captain Mark Tyler Voss Memorial Scholarship was established to provide scholarships for graduating students from a high school in Boerne ISD. Captain Mark Tyler Voss was a 2004 graduate of Boerne High School. He died at the age of 28 while serving in the Air Force in Afghanistan as a pilot with the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron

Eligibility

Applicant must be a current graduating senior from Boerne High School or Boerne Samuel V. Champion High School. Applicant must have a GPA that ranks in the top quartile of his or her graduating class. Applicant should be able to provide a list of extracurricular activities, community and volunteer work, and academic honors in their application. Applicant should also exemplify responsibility and leadership.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on academic and extracurricular achievement, as well as financial need. One scholarship is offered to each of the two high schools located in Boerne ISD. Recipient must be accepted full-time in an accredited college, university or trade school before award decision. The scholarship award is null and void if not accepted within one year of award date.
